St. Andrew’s School a Christian Minority permanently unaided institution was founded by the Poona Diocesan Education Society in 1982, with the primary objective of providing education for deserving students irrespective of caste, creed and religion.

St. Andrew’s school was established in the year 1988 with just 17 students. Our school focuses not only on the holistic development of every student but we ensure that academics takes the center stage in our education system and the results of our institution showcases this fact.

St. Andrew’s school is affiliated to Maharashtra State Board of Secondary Education and is a co-educational private school. We have three division of academic levels Pre-Primary i.e LKG and UKG, Primary from 1st std to IVth std and High school from Vth std to Xth std.

General Rules

School uniform

It is the responsibility of parents to ensure that their child has the correct uniform and that it is clean and in good condition.

Money, Electronic Gadgets & Valuables

The school does not allow use of these items during school days. Therefore, parents must ensure that their children do not bring these items to school.

Attendance

Regular attendance is expected from every student. Parents need to accept responsibility for regular attendance. Understand that absenteeism is disruptive to your child and teachers.

Examination Attendance

The examination dates are set well in advance; therefore only genuine cases of illness endorsed with Doctor’s Certificate will be accepted for missing an exam. Other than proven grief of an immediate family member no other excuse will be accepted.

Open day

It is mandatory that parents attend these meetings as they help evaluate and understand the child’s performance, not just in academics, but also in sports and other co-curricular activities.

Library

Students are encouraged to utilize the library for all reading and research needs. However, students/parents are responsible for damage or loss of books by the students during the year.

Students Calendar

The Student Calendar is part of a student’s life. Apart from Home work, it also contains important notices from the school. Parents/Guardians are required to check the calendar and acknowledge by signing it on a daily basis.

Teacher’s to be informed

Please inform the school/class teacher if there is any change of contact details of parents or guardian as well as any change in your child’s health status.

Security at school

We request all parents to follow instructions from security personnel as we are trying to ensure that your child is educated in a safe and secure environment.

The objective of St. Andrew's High School Chinchwad Pune has always been to enhance the Holistic profile of the individual built on a strong value basis. Introduction of continuous comprehensive evaluation with elimination of pass / field concept is towards making learning joyful process.

The school calendar has been designed to keep you informed about homework and assignments given to your ward everyday. You are requested to go through the calendar daily and ensure that your ward completes the assigned tasks. Remarks given by the class teacher or principal must be read and countersigned.

Parents are advised not to send the wards for tuition classes. In case your ward is lagging behind in studies you may meet the class teacher or principal for a discussion on how to help your child to overcome his her difficulties.

Education is the development of the good inherent in man. Your cooperation is vital and if we are to develop the potential of your ward and make him hard working responsible and self-reliant citizen of tomorrow.

Please help us to achieve the same by enforcing the rules of the school strictly. Together we can achieve wonders.

Co-Curricular Activities

To promote the competitive spirit and to bring out the talent of the students, they are encouraged to participate in various co-curricular activates. Competitions like essay writing, debate, recitation, elocution, Spell Bee, Olympiads, elementary and intermediate drawing exams, creative craft competition etc are conducted on a regular basis.

Our school has many students who not only excel in academics but also in the area of dance, music, theatre and art. A lot of them have already performed on stage to the outside world thus making an interesting career in these areas.

St. Andrew’s School has one of the best throw ball team who have won district and zonal level matches. The football team has participated in ZP level matches and Subroto cup matches. Various students also participated in the roll ball, lawn tennis, badminton, table tennis and chess matches.

Our students have also visited historical places like Agra, Jaipur, Delhi, Kanyakumari, Bangalore, Ooty, Rameswaram and Mysuru through school picnic. The school had also organized an educational trip to NASA (USA).

Fun and food fair were conducted where children learnt to be entrepreneurs and organize along with the help of the teaching and non teaching staff under the guidance of the Principal.

Rallies and marathons were conducted to make the public aware of pollution for environment, importance of health and fitness, importance of girl child education and various other social issues.

Themes based annual days were celebrated where many children got a chance to show their talents.
